Casino de Monte Carlo in Monaco

Casino de Monte Carlo is without doubt or hesitation, the most recognizable, distinguished and glamorous casino in the world. This is literally the ultimate playground of royalty and celebrities alike from around the globe. The internationally famed casino was built by Charles Garnier in 1878, the same architect who built the opera house in Paris. Elegance and opulence are two words that must accompany one another when describing the Casino de Monte Carlo, with it's magnificently marbled flooring of the atrium which is surrounded by enormous columns made entirely of onyx. The world famous opera auditorium, the "Salle Garnier" adorned with bas relief's, frescoes and wondrous sculptures, This amazing structure has stood century for more than a hundred years welcoming it's patrons and guests. Inside you find the elegance of times long gone, but relived only at the Casino de Monte Carlo. The Casino is owned and operated by the Societe des Bains de Mer (the Society of Sea Bathers).

The labyrinth comprising the gaming rooms are equally beautiful with a collection in artistic flair that knows no rival.

The American Room:
Traditional American games consisting of 4 Roulette Wheels, 12 BlackJack tables, 3 Craps tables and a Baccarat table all in the center of the room, with the walls lined by slot machines. The American Room has an impeccable reputation for service where you can count of the staff to recall your favorite drink and know your first name. All staff members in the American Room speak English and undergo specialized training in Las Vegas to gain the experience necessary.

In the European Rooms you'll find a more conservative and laid back atmosphere that is identified more with European gaming. Salle Blanche is the first room and it is sometimes used for high stakes games, and to enter this room you must adhere to a strict dress code which it coat and ties for the men and the women are required to wear skirts. The dress code requires jackets and ties for men while women must wear skirts. A guard is present at the entrance to check passports. This room is also known as the Room of Graces for the large mural on the eastern wall of the Florentine Graces.

The Salle Blanche is a small room where chips may be bought, and past this is the Salles Touzet. Built in 1889 this is actually a triad of rooms.
